How we Review Products

Before any product appears on our website or carries Dr. Goldstein’s endorsement, it goes through a careful, clinician-led review process. Our goal is to ensure that every item we recommend is safe, natural, and genuinely beneficial for health and wellness.

Our Review Process

  1. Clinical and Medical Value

    We start by confirming that the product has real medical or therapeutic value, supported by sound research or clinical evidence.

  2. Natural and Clean Formulations

    Products must be primarily natural, with no unnecessary synthetic additives, artificial colors, or harmful fillers.

  3. Document Review

    Each vendor provides documentation such as Certificates of Analysis (COAs), proof of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and detailed ingredient information.

  4. Independent Third-Party Testing

    Every product is tested by an independent laboratory to confirm label accuracy, purity, and safety.

  5. Company Interview and Integrity Check

    We meet with each company to understand their values, production standards, and commitment to transparency.

  6. Ongoing Quality Review

    Even after a product is approved, we continue to review test results to ensure it maintains the highest standards of quality and safety.

  7. Compliance with State and Federal Regulations

    8. All products must be federally compliant hemp (<0.3% delta-9 THC by dry weight). We do not carry delta-8 THC, chemically converted cannabinoids (e.g., HHC, THCP), or other synthetic/semisynthetic cannabinoids.
If a product does not meet our standards or has a COA that reveals label discrepancies or contamination, we remove it from our catalog until the issue is reviewed and resolved.

Why don't you sell THC-dominant products?

Goldstein Wellness is patient-first, practitioner-compliant, and federally aligned.

  1. Practitioner compliance

    Across the U.S., many medical boards prohibit or severely restrict licensed clinicians from dispensing THC-dominant cannabis products. To protect our practitioners, the Goldstein Wellness marketplace does not sell THC-dominant products. If patients may benefit from THC-dominant products, their practitioner can make recommendations based on the laws in the patients’ states.

  2. Federal framework

    Since the 2018 Farm Bill, hemp extracts are federally lawful when they contain <0.3% delta-9 THC by dry weight. Every product on our marketplace complies with this federal threshold.

  3. No delta-8 or other chemically converted intoxicants

    Some brands sell delta-8 and similar intoxicating cannabinoids derived through synthetic/chemical conversion from CBD. We do not carry these products as the conversion processes can yield unknown by-products or residual reagents that may not be adequately disclosed on third-party tests and that have not been studied for safety.

  4. Safety and transparency

    Our standards require COAs for potency accuracy of cannabinoids and full contaminant panels.

FAQs

What is a COA?

A Certificate of Analysis is a lab report that confirms what’s in (and not in) the product—potency and contaminant results for the exact batch you’re buying.

Do you allow delta-8 or synthetic cannabinoids?

No. We only allow naturally occurring hemp cannabinoids that are not chemically converted.

Are products THC-free?

All products are federally compliant (<0.3% delta-9 THC by dry weight). Items labeled “THC-free” must show non-detectable THC on the COA.

What extraction methods are acceptable?

Supercritical CO₂ and properly remediated food-grade ethanol, with residual solvent testing to confirm safety.

How are recalls handled?

Any quality or compliance issue triggers removal from the marketplace and outreach to affected customers.
